The rotation and music features work perfectly. It is wound by turning the entire base clockwise. Plays "Santa Claus is Coming to Town". It is also meant to rock the rocking chair, but that part needs minor repair...see last pic where chair base has moved slightly upward causing Santa's weight to shift forward. This does not allow the chair to fall back onto the rocking mechanism (which works). Lovely piece made in 1983. Fast shipping.
